FAQ's
What information do I need to provide before arrival?
Our bookings team will contact you for details of your party including numbers attending and with a link to our Acknowledgment of Risk and Medical form which can be passed on to the young peoples parent/carer?
To avoid disappointment we will also ask for details of your preferred activities as soon as possible.
Is parking available for minibuses/trailers/additional vehicles?
We have ample parking for drop and leaders parking.
If you anticipate having larger vehicles on site throughout you stay please arrange this with our bookings team.
What footwear do you recommend for activities & navigating the site?
All activities require closed toe footwear (comfortable trainers recommended).
For paddlesports we advise having a separate set of footwear that participants expect to get wet and muddy (old trainers or water shoes).
Flipflops, Crocs and Slides are not appropriate footwear.
The site is navigable with comfortable trainers or boots.
What should we pack for an activity day/overnight stay? Do you have a kit list?

Open toe shoes including flip-flops, crocs and slides are not appropriate for activities.
Are accessible facilities available?
We have accessible toilets in our main courtyard, by our lower camp site toilets and in Climb Kent. Our courtyard toilet also doubles as a wet room.
Is the site accessible to wheelchair users or participants with mobility restrictions?
The majority of our activities have level access.
Most of our activities are within 100m of our carpark with a handful of activities being 200-400m away.
Please contact us if you have queries about access to specific activities.
Outdoor ground surfaces range from hard surfaces to gravel and mown grass.
Indoor surfaces include: Concrete, Rubber Crumb and short pile carpet.
Can you accommodate students with EHCP's, additional learning, sensory or physical needs?
We aspire to deliver all of our activities as equitably as possible and pride ourselves in being able to adapt our activities to the needs of the individuals present.
We aspire to have a specific sensory/quiet space available during our activity days, and students are always welcome to take a break from activities and return the it is right for them.
Please let us know of any specific needs ahead of your booking to allow our staff to have any necessary adaptations ready.

Can we visit the site beforehand for a recce?
Absolutely! Please arrange a visit with our bookings team.
What qualifications do instructors hold?
Where possible our instructors hold National Governing Body qualifications.
Where NGB qualifications are not available we train and assess our instructors internally to rigorous standards
Do staff need to stay with their group during instructed sessions?
While we provide the instructors to manage the session, you will need to provide sufficient staff to supervise young people in line with your own ratios.
Do we need to bring our own first aid kit?
All of our instructors are first aid trained and will take care of first aid requirements during activity sessions. As there may not be staff available during free time, evening and overnight you will need to provide first aid in line with your organisational policy.
Can we have campfires?
We do not allow ground fires.
However, we have a dedicated fire circle for campfires and you can hire an altar fire as part of your visit.
Are there fridges/food storage areas available for self catering groups?
We do have food storage available. Please contact our bookings team to enquire about availability
Are activities weather dependent?
The majority of our activities are able to continue in adverse weather. Should we be unable to run an activity we will work with you to organise an alternative.
Is there a warden/staff member available throughout our stay? Who do I contact in an emergency?
We have a live in duty warden on call throughout your entire stay and centre staff can point you in the right direction during the day.

What is the best way to get to Lower Grange Farm?
Lower Grange Farm is easily accessible via the M2 & M20, has ample parking, and space for car, minibus and coach drop off.

For those of a more adventurous nature there are quality hiking routes in from Buckmore Park, Bexon Lane and Hamlet Wood scout campsites.
What is your policy on Smoking/Vaping?
We have a dedicated area for smoking/vaping near our carpark. Please refrain from smoking elsewhere on site.
How are young people supervised during free time or transitions between activities?
Instructors are available to facilitate the delivery of engaging activities.
Responsibility for supervising your young people (including their behaviour) lies with your staff in line with your organisations policy and ratios throughout your stay.
Where can we unload equipment/how can we transport kit across site?
Equipment can be unloaded in our car park. If you have particularly bulky equipment please contact us in advance so that we can advise on how best to transport this across the site.
We have a very limited supply of small trolleys capable of carrying one or two bags. We recommend treating their availability as a bonus rather than a guarantee. You are welcome to bring a trek cart/trollies to transport equipment.
